Yes Bank-DHFL Case: Avinash Bhosale to be kept at CBI guesthouse until Mumbai court passes order
A special court in Mumbai reserved its order at the plea of the remaining CBI, seeking custody of audio entrepreneur Avinash Bhosale. The court also heard an application from Bhosale’s lawyer Vijay Aggarwal, which raised issues of unlawful arrest. In the meantime, Bhosale continued to stay at the five-star guesthouse of CBI officials.
From 11:30 a.m. to 5:40 p.m., the court heard only this particular case in which both sides’ arguments were made while Bhosale sat in the dock listening attentively.
Aggarwal argued that CBI would have to get permission from the Maharashtra government to register a case against Bhosale and investigate and they knew they wouldn’t be allowed, so in the Yes Bank-DHFL investigation opportunity, custody of Bhosale is being searched. “The court will have to see their sinister design,” Aggarwal said.

On the other hand, Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh argued that what Bhosale is filing is that “you (CBI) did not seek permission from the court in Rana Kapoor’s case to investigate further, so this investigation is unjustifiable. But look at the sequence of Rana Kapoor where the court ordered the earliest completion of further investigation.”
Speaking further, Singh added, “In Rana Kapoor’s application, it was said that further investigation could not be carried out because an indictment had been filed. However, the court rejected the application, stating that the charges were not filed. framework for all defendants, so further investigation can be carried out. There are 14 defendants and now all defendants will file equally? “
Singh stressed that the law does not require any prior authorization for future investigations. “We’re at the investigation stage. He can’t be given special priority. He’s related to Chhabaria who is in custody, so shouldn’t we investigate further?” Singh asked.
Prosecutor JK Sharma also argued, “We don’t have any personal animosity with this person. It just brings out the truth in case we need further detention and investigation.”
The CBI arrested Bhosale on Thursday night and on Friday he was taken to court for further investigation. However, considering the defendant’s application, the court decided that Bhosale should be placed in the CBI guesthouse until the application is heard.
