World Cup T20: Indian team unhappy with meal after training session: Report

Team India is said to be unhappy with the post-practice food menu they were offered in Sydney. The Indian players complained that they were not provided with hot food after the training session. according to BCCI sources cited by ANI news agency.

According to reports, the post-workout food menu reportedly includes custom sandwiches.

“The food provided to Team India was not tasty. They were only given bread and they also told the ICC that the food provided after a practice session in Sydney was very cold and not tasty,” a source at the club said. BCCI is cited by ANI.

Notably, the International Cricket Council (ICC) is providing food during the 2022 World Cup, but it is not providing any hot food after lunch. However, in the bilateral series, the host association is in charge of food.

It should be recalled that Team India also did not participate in practice as they were offered a location in Blacktown (Sydney Suburbs) about 45 minutes from Team Hotel where they were staying.

“Team India did not hold the practice sessions as they were offered a practice site in Blacktown (In the subdivisions of Sydney) so they declined as it is appropriately 45 minutes from the Team Hotel where they are,” the BCCI source added.

On October 27, India will play the Netherlands next at the iconic Sydney Cricket Stadium.

Recently, Team India won against Pakistan in T20 World Cup. With this win, India has two points and leads Group 2. Virat received the ‘Man of the Match’ with his 82-match unbeaten streak, ensuring a thrilling victory for India.

India asked Pakistan to beat first, and they have scored 159/8 runs on 20 passes. Although Shan Masood (52 years old) and Iftikhar Ahmed (51 years old) have achieved remarkable achievements over the past half century, Pakistan has often lost battles. Masood and Ahmed’s 76-year partnership has proven significant for Pakistan.

With the ball, India’s Hardik Pandya (3/30) and Arshdeep (3/32) excelled. Shami and Bhuvneshwar also secured a wicket. India was dropped to 31/4 in less than seven passes while chasing 160. The game was then rebuilt by Virat and Hardik, who set up the stands for 113 runs. Virat finished the game undefeated, scoring 82 of 53 balls with six fours and four sixs to lead his team to a four-goal win after Pandya was sacked for being 40.
