Netflix’s Ultimatum is exactly what it sounds like. The series follows six couples in which one partner gives the other an ultimatum “marry me or someone else”. Before Hunter could choose her test marriage partner, Alexis gave this epic speech about the absurdity of testing (at least someone said it!) and she wanted no one else but Hunter. Apparently that was motivating enough for Hunter, because he got down on one knee and proposed.
At the reunion, we learned that the two were still holding their wedding scheduled for June. What a happy ending.
Lauren Pounds and Nathan Ruggles

Like Hunter, Nathan got down on one knee – but for nefarious reasons. See, Lauren chose Colby as her partner. And because Nathan didn’t have an acceptable mate to choose from for the marriage test, he decided to propose to Lauren, shortly after Hunter’s proposal. Clumsy.
I guess both are happy because all is well at the reunion. Lauren revealed that they had attended couples counseling and that the child issue – Nathan wanted a baby but Lauren didn’t – was resolved. Now the couple has agreed to have a baby.
Randall Griffin and Shanique Imari

One of four couples actually took part in the test, Randall and Shanique are an interesting duo. There is love between the two – but also serious communication problems. And to make matters worse, Shanique sees Randall and Madlyn, the mate in his challenging marriage, having intimate relationships, even though Shanique is doing the same thing with his partner. hers, Zay.
Somehow, the two made it to the finale together and got engaged. However, at the reunion, Shanique revealed that she and Randall broke up 6 months before making up. She also says the aim is to slow down and rebuild their relationship in the healthiest way.

Oh, April and Jake. Perhaps the most emotional couple, the two have been through various ups and downs – April with fertility issues and Jake feeling unheard and alone. In the end, it’s not meant to be. In the final episode, Jake reveals that he can’t marry April, no matter how much he wants to. Of course, he said the decision had nothing to do with his challenging mate Rae, even though he walked away with her shortly after the credits rolled out.
But even if they weren’t meant to be – at the reunion, Jake and Rae weren’t together. While we’re not sure what happened in this affair (sadly, there wasn’t a word on the reunion), we do know Jake is living his life as a single man. As for April, she has found love again and is about to get married.
Rae Williams and Zay Wilson

The second dysfunctional couple (the number one title goes to Madlyn and Colby), Rae and Zay have no chance of survival. Not only does Rae have a sincere relationship with her partner, Jake, but she also seems emotionally defeated in her initial relationship.
Zay, on the other hand, was dedicated to their relationship. He was prepared to get married, even though he was against marriage from the start. In an unexpected twist, Rae says she’s not ready to take that final step with Zay, even though that’s why she originally came on the show. Zay didn’t fully understand this revelation. He had been out all night and returned to the hotel at 8am. That’s enough for Rae to call quits.
The two got back together after the show ended, but even a second or third attempt couldn’t help the relationship. In fact, the tension between the two exes was so bad that insults were thrown back and forth at the time of the reunion. Here’s hoping that they find some time to heal.

The unique pairing is the experiment’s only success story. Madlyn and Colby not only pass the altar, but also expect a baby girl soon. Surprise? We, too.
It’s clear to viewers that Madlyn doesn’t like Colby and prefers a mate like Randall. Colby fell in love with Madlyn, but later episodes revealed that his “love” for her did not prevent him from connecting with other girls. (There’s even a scene where Colby admits to telling other women he’s in an open relationship with Madlyn. Spoiler alert: He’s not.) Somehow, they both got over their issues (or rather Madelyn accepted Colby’s BS), but either way, we’re happy for them!
