What will you play this weekend? (March 18)
Cheers, the weekend is here! It’s the weekend, everyone!
Before diving into what we’ll be playing, let’s take a look at what’s happening in the Nintendo world this week.
First, Nintendo sees fit to add not one, not two, but four new titles for the Nintendo Switch Online service. We think it’ll be pretty good after that Merge Metroid. We also saw Nintendo of America CEO Doug Bowser makes some “rising” statements regarding the Switch and its potential successor.
Elsewhere, it seems Metroid Zero Mission may in fact be coming to Nintendo Switch Online service at some point, the The Pokémon Company seems to be quite interested in NFTand that is Rumor has it that some classic SoulCalibur games could be remade.
But for now, let’s tackle some games, eh?

Shame, I pulled out 1,000 platinum points on the catchy name My Nintendo Picross: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess this week and let me tell you, I’m hooked. “This is just a silly puzzle game, it certainly can’t be addictive,” I thought to myself as I downloaded the (basically) free content. But here I am, hours later, filling in my silly little boxes to create an image that looks anything else like the Hylian Shield? I guess?
If I could put it down, I’d probably play more Super Mario Odyssey That moment. I started a new save file and I finally started playing the game right way by collecting every single moon out there. It’s a long quest, I admit, but man what a game!

I’m afraid there won’t be many games for me this weekend. I’m moving house soon, so I’m finding it pretty hard to commit to anything. That said, I’m getting into the NSO service from time to time and playing a bit Super Mario Bros. 3 And Kuru Kuru Kuruin. I’m still replaying Evil 4 demos on PS5 as much as possible; now that i know how to activate the difficulty ‘crazy chainsaw mode’ i keep playing it again to see if i can beat my previous score. Great tool.

I got my hands on PC Engine Mini this week and plan to fire it up later this week. It’s a small system with a fascinating library that I’ve never touched. Looking forward to that.
In the world of Nintendo, I’m still passing Skyward Sword HD And shackle echo. i have downloaded Street of Rage 4 So is the DLC.
And I’m looking into eShop games on my 3DS before closing. Nintendo badge game attracted me again. One more week!

After enjoying the two-chapter demo last weekend, I’m looking forward to continuing with Bayonetta Origin: Cereza and the Lost Demon. The game just clicked with me. Looking forward to some eShop game time with Squadron 51 vs Flying Saucer And Titan Hound. Outside of Nintendo platforms, I’ll be finished in 26 hours Xenogears and was stunned with the quality of the single player campaign of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
Game of the week is by Data East Side pocket for the NSO service. This week’s update has put one of my favorite SNES guilty pleasures on the Switch. I miss old school Data East…

I’m going to be traveling a lot this weekend, so really, the main thing I’m going to do is level up in preparation for Octopath Traveler II‘s superboss — not what I usually do in an RPG, but when you’re as good at machines as OTII, you Have right?
Also, all of that hollow knight writing and replaying reminded me that I needed to remove another Metroidvania from the list — Ori and the Forest of the Blind. So if I had some spare time between visiting family and going to London, I could burn it.
We hope you enjoy reading! Let us know which main game you’ll be playing in the poll above, and leave a comment on your gameplay plans for the weekend!
