Premier League outfit West Ham United have made the first move to strengthen the club’s front lines ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, according to reports.
The theme of David Moyes’ depth, or lack of, possession in attack has of course proved a talking headline at the London Stadium throughout the season so far.
This comes with the failure of the Hammers’ transfer team to secure reinforcements in the summer or January, leaving Michail Antonio as the only central defender option at the club’s disposal.
With what could be the next European season, it should therefore come as no surprise to hear West Ham firmly set their sights on the head before the summer transfer window opens.
Not only that, if the latest news coming out of the European media is anything to go by, such a target has already been approached.
According to a report from transfer journalist Ekrem Konur, Irons have made a three-year contract offer for Torino smasher Andrea Belotti. This comes before the Italian international’s contract expires in the summer.
However, Belotti himself has yet to offer an answer as he continues to weigh his options ahead of next season.

Blues clash
Turning attention back to the work at hand at West Ham, Moyes’ side are set to return to action on Sunday.
After being held to a disappointing 1-1 draw against Burnley, relegated last time, Irons are set to travel to Stamford Bridge, aiming for a quick return to victory over capital rivals Chelsea.
And the visitors of the day will no doubt be confident in their chances exactly that, knowing that, following a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Arsenal on Wednesday, Chelsea have now finished falsely in each of the three. the club’s last outing in west London.
