FORT MYERS, Fla. – A man was nearly struck by lightning while driving home to Fort Myers Tuesday afternoon.
Bruce Van Lorne was carrying his trash in when lightning struck a palm tree in his front yard.
The incident was recorded by a neighbor’s surveillance camera.
Fortunately no one was injured. The palm tree, however, was slightly burnt.
