Volkswagen will use next month Consumer Electronics Show 2023 in Las Vegas to introduce the newest member of the expanding ID tram line.
The reveal will take place on January 3 before the official launch at CES, which will take place from January 5 to 8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
VW says it plans to show a prototype in camouflage. The automaker will also confirm the vehicle’s name at the show.

The model will go on sale in China in the second half of 2023, followed by North America and Europe. Versions sold outside of China will be sourced from the Volkswagen Group plant in Emden, Germany.
The vehicle will be based on VW Group’s MEB platform designed for mainstream electric vehicles and will be approximately 16.4 feet long.
The sedan will serve as the spiritual successor to the Passat, which will leave the US after 2022. The redesigned Passat is in development for the rest of the world but is expected to be offered only as a wagon.
VW is about to have more EV IDs. The United States has finally received ID.Buzz mini truck next year, and will probably also see a Three-row SUV about the size of the current Atlas mid-sizer. A wagon version of the upcoming sedan is also a possibility, as is a crossover about the size of the Tiguan. Elsewhere, VW plans updated version of ID.3 compact hatcha new one Small crossover ID.2as well as much hyped The Trinity Project’s technological flagship.
