Vivek Agnihotri, Pallavi Joshi first filmmaker to speak in UK Parliament on India, world peace and humanism


The Kashmir Files director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, along with his wife, actress and producer Pallavi Joshi, spoke in the UK Parliament at an event hosted by former Minister, Baron Sandip Verma and Member of Parliament , Gagan Mohindra, chaired. The event, themed ‘India, World Peace and Humanism’, highlighted the importance of minorities’ freedom of expression and human rights and was attended by a number of MPs from both The House of Commons and the House of Commons as well as locally elected Councilors from across the UK. Vivek is proud to be ‘the first filmmaker to receive such an honor’.

Vivek Agnihotri took to Twitter to share that he is excited about speaking at the UK Parliament. He wrote, “Looking forward to meeting MPs, Lords and Barons at Parliament @UKPar today. Extremely proud to be the first filmmaker to receive such an honor. Our mission is to world recognized Kashmiri Hindu Genocide through our art #HumanityTour #TKFAtBritishPar Congress (sic).”

Vivek Agnihotri and Pallavi Joshi were joined by MPs from different parties for the conversation. Among the MPs in attendance were Jonathan Lord (MP for Woking; Conservative), MP Virendra Sharma (Southall and Ealing; Labor), Lord Dholakia (Liberal Democrat), Jane Stevenson MP (Wolverhampton North East) ; Conservative), Henry Smith MP (Crawley ; Conservative), Lord Jitesh Gadhia (Outside), MP Navendu Mishra (Labour), MP Theresa Villiers (Conservative) and Sam Terry (Ilford South; Lao PDR) motion).

INTRODUCTION OF THE MOVIES KASHMIR

The Kashmir profile is based on the life of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990, during the Kashmiri uprising. The film is a true story, based on video interviews with first generation victims of the Kashmir Genocide by the Kashmiri Pandit Community. It is a heartbreaking story of the pain, suffering, struggle and trauma of Kashmiri vandals, also questioning the eye-opening truths about democracy, religion, politics and mankind.

Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, the film was choreographed by Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Agnihotri under the banners of Zee Studios, IAmBuddha and Abhishek Agarwal Arts. The cast includes Mithun Chakraborty as Brahma Dutt, Anupam Kher as Pushkarnath, Darshan Kumar as Krishna Pandit, Pallavi Joshi as Radhika Menon, Bhasha Sumbali as Shraddha Pandit, Chinmay Mandle Isskar as Farooq Malik aka Bittane (Taken inspired by Faroo) as DGP Hari Narain
