Villarreal sweats over the attacking star’s fitness in the second leg of Liverpool’s game
Liverpool’s hopes of securing a spot in the Champions League final could still be fueled by a key member of Villarreal’s frontline sitting on the bench at El Madrigal.
Jurgen Klopp’s men are of course set to make the trip to the east of Spain in less than 24 hours.
This comes with the Red Devils set to face Unai Emery’s Villarreal for the second time around the week, amid the highly anticipated Champions League semi-final between the two clubs.
When all was well, of course the hosts were in need of something of a miracle, after Sadio Mane’s early second-half finish ensured that Liverpool left Anfield with a well-deserved 2-0 win in the first leg.

However, as alluded to above, any remaining Villarreal hopes of turning the tide could still be poised for something of a hammer blow.
This comes to star winger Arnaut Danjuma who has emerged as a major doubt to perform at El Madrigal tomorrow night.
According to a report from The Athletic’s reliable James Pearce, famous former Bournemouth player Danjuma was forced to sit out Villarreal’s training session on Monday due to a leg injury, which could cause him to miss the second leg against Villarreal. Liverpool.
On a more positive note for Emery’s men, however, smasher Gerard Moreno is expected to start from the start, after sitting out last week’s game at Merseyside with a hamstring problem.
