Weeks after EA announced that their next sports title, FIFA 23going to release as Legacy Version on Switch (missing many features from other console versions), it’s a relief to see that NBA 2K23 is making sure its newest game mode, The Jordan Challenge, is coming to the Switch (thanks, Eurogamer).
The trailer above gives us a brief look at this new mode, detailing what to expect as you take in 15 of the most iconic moments of Michael Jordan’s NBA career. . It is important to us, the companion of 2K blog post specifically states that the mode will be “available on ALL versions of NBA 2K23,” so the Switch looks set to finally get another sports game with some new content.
The game mode has been fully added since its appearance in NBA 2K11 and will now feature pre-match interviews with a range of former Jordan teammates, coaches and opponents, as well as realistic graphics modulation to accurately represent the NBA era in which the challenge is unfolding. out (we predict big ’90s broadcast titles will return.)
The moments 2K chose for this game ranged from Jordan’s first game in North Carolina to his final, championship-winning game against the Chicago Bulls. Many of these events have been kept in the minds of basketball fans all over the world, so playing them with your own eyes is certainly a somewhat odd experience.

The mode trailer doesn’t offer any gameplay footage, though it’s safe to assume the Switch version will be visually dramatic to match the console’s prowess.
