UK’s Timberland & Epic Games Reveal Creative Experience in Fortnite
The Construct: 10061 The Fortnite Experience was launched at Timberland’s flagship Orefact11 store during Milan Design Week.
Project elements include the Timberland Design Lab and the Manufacturer Space; Meta Design Studio; and Timberland Parkour Trails.
The UK-based Timberland brand, in partnership with Epic Games’ Unreal Engine and Conceptkicks, has launched innovative experiences that combine the real and virtual worlds to engage consumers. Focusing on Timberland’s Construct: 10061, this partnership invites players and footwear enthusiasts to join the universe of design and innovation.
Other elements are Metaboots in AR and Prototype Boots, in AR. Forest Metaboot is recreated in high fidelity using the Unreal Engine and can be viewed and accessed in AR through Sketchfab. The AR launch appears on a backdrop modeled on the Forest biome and built using the Unreal Engine’s Quixel Megascans. Eight physical prototypes from an IRL studio were also recently scanned and placed against a biome-inspired backdrop using Unreal Engine-powered Twinmotion and Quixel Megascans. They are also accessible in AR through Sketchfab.
