Ukrainian steel mill soldiers face test in Russia organized by Donetsk: Report

Ukraine War: The head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic separatists Denis Pushilin.

The leader of Ukraine’s breakaway Donetsk People’s Republic on Monday said militants who surrendered at the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol will face trial in the breakaway region, Interfax news agency reported.

“Prisoners from Azovstal are being held on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic,” Interfax quoted Denis Pushilin as saying. “The organization of an international tribunal on the territory of the republic is also planned.”

The report did not specify what charges the fighters would face.
