Twitter rolls out the ability to upload 60-minute videos to blue subscribers: All the details
Twitter is rolling out the ability to upload videos up to 60 minutes long for Twitter Blue subscribers. The microblogging site announced the update via its Twitter Blue page. The company claims that subscribers can now upload 60-minute videos. One difference, however, is that the feature is currently only available on the Web and not on the iOS or Android apps. Recently, Twitter also implemented a new View Count for tweets that allows users to see the actual number of views on a tweet the same way it shows on a video.
According to the details shared on Twitter Community Page, Twitter Blue subscribers will be able to share videos up to 60 minutes long in 1080p on the web. However, the video must be less than 2GB in size. This feature is not available on Twitter Android or iOS app.
Previously, Twitter Blue subscribers were only allowed to upload 10-minute videos on the platform in 1080p with a file size limit of 512MB. However, this has increased now. The new capability will also modify the quality of the video for delivery.
Twitter Blue subscriptions were relaunched earlier this month under new CEO Elon Musk. iOS users willing to choose this can sign up for Twitter Blue by paying $11 (INR 910) per month while Web users will have to pay $8 (INR 660) per month. Signing up for Twitter Blue provides early access to select features, like Tweet Editing and other newest features, before they’re available to everyone.
Meanwhile, Twitter has also roll out Views feature for tweets starting December 22. Elon Musk announced the rollout of the feature via a tweet. In the words of Elon Musk tweet, Views for tweets will allow the user to see how many times a tweet has been viewed. Current feature available on the web, as well as iOS and Android application.
