Turns out that raised corvettes are pretty good for good off-roading

That raised the C5 Corvette we covered a few months back have a new owner. And he’s preparing for it on the off-road.

C5 Lift was originally created by Youtuber ZeroToSixty. He often buys paving stone– tracking the monster and modifying it with a four-inch lift and fitting it with 33-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires doesn’t come cheap. While promoting it, he really wanted to sell it – ended up posting it on Facebook Marketplace for just $8,500.

Someone loves that car as much as most of us here at Jalopnik do, and our range seems to helped the YouTuber sell it. NowVette has a new owner – another Youtuber known as Westin Camplin. Camplin was hoing beast off-roading through the Illinois wilderness – and the rides are just wild as you would expect. At one point Camplin say it’s like a rally car. I agree. It’s definitely passable as one Skunkworks rally car someone did in their garage.

We tested a Corvette….and 100% no problems

But it’s not just like a one-off race car. It has the operability of a rally car. Combination of elevator hanging with off-road tires make this normally unloved pet into a medium off-road vehicle – handling tclamped like fine sized rocks and steam-forged.

To be honest, the world could use more crazy car / mashup like this. So if you’ve got that wild project that’s been on your mind for years – here off-roading Corvette proves that your quirky ideas may not be so weird after all. Build it.
