Actor Henry Silva, known for playing tough guys in films like Ocean’s Eleven and Manchurian candidate, died Wednesday at the age of 95.
Silva died of natural causes in Woodland Hills, California, his son told Diversity on Friday.
The death of the New York actor, who has had more than 130 movies and TV shows to his name, was first announced by Dean Martin’s daughter.
“Our hearts are broken for the loss of our dear friend Henry Silva, one of the most beautiful, kindest and most talented men I am so happy to call my friend,” said Deana Martin. tweeted Friday afternoon. “He is the last surviving star of the original Ocean’s 11 Movie. We love you Henry, you will be missed. “
He voiced the superhero Bane in animated TV shows involving the two Batman and Superman.
He played an assassin in Johnny Cool in 1963 with Sammy Davis Jr, and a villain in Dick Tracywith Warren Beatty.
Frank Sinatra recruited him as one of Danny Ocean’s gangs in the 1960 movie Ocean’s Eleven. Forty-one years later, Silva’s last acting credit will be a small role in Ocean’s Eleven rework, do it again.
The three-time divorced actor is said to be survived by his two sons, Michael and Scott.
