Tourists often come La Conner, Washington, a small waterfront town, to find some “retail therapy” at galleries, quilt and needlework shops, gift shops, and pubs. It’s also known for its good eateries and, for tourists, it’s easily accessible to Interstate 5 and the ferry terminal to the San Juan Islands. Every spring, La Conner organizes Daffodils Festival, where thousands of cheerful apricot flowers open against the background of Mt. Baker. More tulips, irises, and daffodils are produced in La Conner than in any other county in the United States
