These are the best budget tracker cars for beginners

“Man, there are so many different schools of thought about what makes a good race car. FWD? AWD? RWD? Maybe four or five of them would be perfect. Is it a DEDICATED vehicle tracking, or something you daily and also monitor? It is just very open.

“But if I had to choose just one, I think I would probably go with anything a Mustang can afford. From a disappearing $2,500 Fox to a good 7-8k SN95 to a $25,000 S550, there’s something for every budget.

“You have decent power, but not so much that you get in real trouble. You have an unstable rear end that will teach you a bit of restraint when going around corners. You have replacement parts at every parts store in town. You have enough trunk space to transport consumables and tools to the track. Rear seats are there if you need them. Insurance isn’t terrible. The aftermarket is huge, and the cars themselves are plentiful.

“I have nothing but personal disdain for Ford products, but only one nameplate has cars that can lose to a Geo subway, or a 911. That’s a Mustang.”

It seems like there could be a Mustang for every occasion and every budget! That was before Ford released the next wave of racing-focused Mustangs.
