The squirrel from the ‘Ice Age’ has reached the oak tree
Studio Blue Sky has released a farewell video with a squirrel from “Ice Age”.
The artists at Blue Sky Studios, which Disney closed last year due to the pandemic, have released a goodbye video featuring Scrat, the squirrel from the Ice Age. The video was posted on YouTube’s video hosting service.
A video titled “The End” was published on the Finale channel and was released on the 20th anniversary of the release of the first film in the series. In it, Scrat finally reaches the acorn and fulfills his long-standing wish.
The description for it says that it was created by employees of Blue Sky Studios before the studio closed “as a goodbye on their own terms.”
“During the final days of Blue Sky Studios, a small group of artists came together to make one final video – goodbye, goodbye on our terms,” the video’s description reads.
Earlier, it was reported that Disney Corporation announced the closure of the animation studio Blue Sky, which created “Ice Age” and “Rio.” Due to the pandemic, the company lost $2.86 billion, so it became unprofitable to maintain Blue Sky.
At the same time, Disney Studios released a trailer for the Ice Age: The Stories of Scrat film series, a spin-off of the Ice Age animated series.
