The Last Of Us multiplayer game has new concept art, more details later this year
The Last of Us turns 10 in June, and Naughty Dog plans to celebrate the milestone with a series of special announcements along the way. One of those updates involved a closer look at the upcoming indie multiplayer title.
in one blog post, Naughty Dog co-chairman Neil Druckmann reflects on The Last of Us’ legacy as well as the future of the franchise. In addition to the HBO adaptation premieres January 15th and The Last of Us Part 1’s PC port is coming in March, Druckmann announced fans will learn more about the long-awaited multiplayer experience that serves as a sequel to the original game’s Phew mode. Druckmann writes,
“We’ll have some nice surprises in store for you along the way, but later this year we’ll start giving you some insight into the multiplayer game The Last of Our ambitious us. With a team led by Vinit Agarwal, Joe Pettinati and Anthony Newman, the project is shaping up to be a fresh, new experience from our studio, but rooted in Naughty Dog’s passion for delivering incredible stories, characters and gameplay.”
Naughty Dog also shared a new piece of concept art, posted in full below, which is the game’s first new material since it’s release. first concept property last June. It depicts two survivors heading towards a dilapidated cruise ship.

While we’ll learn more about the game this year, it’s unknown if Naughty Dog plans to launch it in 2023. That will fit the anniversaries, but we’ll have to wait and see in the coming months.
