The full opalhouse designed with Jungalow’s debut collection is here! When I started this blog almost twelve years ago, I knew I wanted to use it to provide some structure to my creative work, to connect with other creative souls, and to have an outlet. An outlet through which I can share my creativity with the world. I never imagined that this tiny, colorful pocket of the web would be the germ that grew into the wild Jungalow brand it has become today.
And today, I have butterflies in my belly like our new butterfly Opalhouse designed with Jungalow The collection is available at Target both online and in stores nationwide.
I hope that this collection is the first of many that will help you bring home good vibes. Working with Target on this partnership has truly been a dream come true, not only because I have worked with some of the most talented designers in the industry and learned so much, but also because I there is a great opportunity to come up with colorful and playful designs. so many people at such a great price – and helping people create environments where they can thrive, thrive and live their best lives is my north star.
For today’s post, I’m sharing some of my favorite pieces from this debut collection and the inspiration behind them.
For this collection, I preferred to include more natural materials because I like to invite nature into my home and works made from natural materials easier on Mama Earth. Here are some of my favorite pieces made from rattan, terracotta, coconut shells, jute, and more! A lot of these pieces are inspired by my seven years living in Italy, the summer trips my family took to Mexico while growing up, and our family trip to India early last year.
Textures, tassels and decorations!
My style is known to be full of textures, fringes and decorations! I love how these tactile developments add an element of fun to textiles to create a dynamic look in any room. Here are some of my favorite tactile moments in the collection. My earliest memory of tassels is from the prayer shawls my parents and grandparents wore for special occasions and holidays when I was a child. Tassels are seen as a protective device in many cultures, so I love having lots of tassels around to keep those good vibes going!
Color, Color and more Colors!
I believe color is the most popular mood enhancer! The color makes me happy and I want this collection to radiate positive energy.
From teal to soothing sage, and jolt or two Majorelle blues, the colors in this collection are bright and earthy and designed to layer together, blend and match the content of the heart! Here are some of my favorite coloring moments – My picture Featured in the collage below (upper left corner) shows a lot of colors in the collection and can act as a color unifier in a room and can also be a beautiful (and extremely soft) color. commercial) striped waist pillow. Adding panels in the room that bring out the whole color story of the space can help keep a maximal room looking cohesive.
Are from seashell blanket reminiscent of petals, of cheerfulness Candle (They smell amazing, by the way – I even have to manage the scent!!) and all sun texture – Mother Nature is the inspiration behind this collection – and as with all my designs, I hope that we can help foster the human/nature connection and help bring about nice vibes for the house.
Thank you to my amazing team and the talented and passionate team at Target, for all the work that went into bringing this collection to life. This is just the beginning of a years-long partnership that I still pinch yourself back.
