Television Academy titles canceled amid writers strike – The Hollywood Reporter


The 2023 Television Academy title was canceled due to the ongoing writers’ strike.

“Following discussions with the WGA and disrespecting those affected by the ongoing labor dispute, the Television Academy is canceling the Television Academy Honors reception scheduled for the evening of Sunday. We appreciate everyone’s understanding,” an email sent to Academy Member TV reads. “The Academy would like to congratulate this year’s Honor recipients and thank them on behalf of the entire industry for their groundbreaking and inspiring work.”
