Ted Cruz’s Climate Change Goals on ‘The View’
NEWYORK –
Three scammers have been debunked from “The View” set Monday after interrupting US Senator Ted Cruz’s live TV interview with what appeared to be a turn-out protest. climate change.
Two women began shouting “Let’s protect the climate now” while the Texas Republican was answering a question. He paused for a moment, smiled, and then continued speaking as the women shouted, most of which were inexplicable to the television audience.
“Ladies, ladies, excuse us,” presenter Whoopi Goldberg said as Cruz paused. “Let us do our job. We hear what you say but you have to go.”
The screaming ended less than a minute after the women, who were not seen on television, appeared to have been kicked out of the house.
But as the segment began to go on commercial hiatus, a third woman shouted a comment that left TV viewers stunned.
When the show returned from commercials, host Ana Navarro apologized to Cruz.
“I’m sorry this happened in our home,” she said.
ABC’s daytime show, which just started its 26th season, has seen hostilities between hosts on the airwaves over the years. But this was the first time in memory it had witnessed such a performance by those in its small studio audience.
