Canada’s main stock index fell more than 100 points, led by losses in the industrial and technology sectors, while the US stock market also decreased.
S&P /TSX The composite index fell 126.15 points to 19,058.39.
In New York, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 144.34 points to 30,039.44. The S&P 500 index fell 36.98 points to 3,752.95, while the Nasdaq composite fell 184.91 points to 11,035.28.
Stock markets in Canada and the US fell after the decision of the US Federal Reserve
The Canadian dollar traded for 74.09 US cents versus 74.64 US cents on Wednesday.
The November crude contract rose 53 cents to $83.47 a barrel and the October natural gas contract fell 23 cents at $7.55 per mmBTU.
The gold contract for December delivery was up $4.70 at $1,680.40 an ounce and the December contract was up 1 cent at $3.48 a pound.
