Cori Broadus, the daughter of one of the greatest rappers from the West Coast Snoop Dogg, took to Instagram with a message for those who were critical of her relationship! Cori and her creative director Bae Wayne have been dating for a minute now, but some people don’t believe he has the purest of intentions.
In a few posts on her IG story, Cori responded to people online who believe Wayne is only dating the pop singer because of who her dad is.
You are all very distressed and very sad. It’s hard not to let the ppl comments come to you cause you know deep down they’re fighting but I’m still human and the words hurt.. How do you guys spend time sitting on my page someone and just saying it never made sense to me. But if they meet you it’s a different story. It’s disgusting, I’m praying because it’s a horrible disease. “
You all like to say a *gga must like me for my dad Snoop Dogg like why can’t he just love me for me… It’s deeper than just being his daughter, I am who I am , I’m more than that and I hate that I feel like I have to stay here and do all this but I’ve been dealing with this since high school, it’s so frustrating as a f *ck, must question if that’s the case. I hate it here.
Cori’s posts spurred a conversation on social media about the impact of colorism on the black community. Twitter users have spoken out in defense of Broadus, arguing that statements about her relationship and her appearance suggest that darker-skinned people are less attractive.
I feel for Snoop Dogg’s daughter. People really have a problem with dark women being loved loudly and big women being loved loudly by someone they thought would never have them. I hate comments: “What am I doing wrong?” or “and I’m still single”. Increase tf

Snoop Dogg’s daughter is definitely a victim of colorism. The way ppl always talk about that girl bc she’s black and she’s not skinny. All the time she’s beautiful AND lives better than all the ugly donkeys.

They’re all sick of telling Snoop Dogg’s daughter that her man only loves her for who her dad is. Let me remind you not to believe that dark-skinned girls deserve to be loved.
