Smart Reply in Google Chat has these new languages: Here’s how to enable them

Smart Reply has existed in Google Chat for four years. But it has always supported the English language. Now, Google has added three more languages to the feature – Spanish, Portuguese, and French. Users don’t need to worry about anything; apps will understand the language they’re typing in and provide them with quick answers, Google said.

Users must ensure that they have enabled Smart reply if they want to use it by going to app settings, gear icon and selecting ‘Enable Smart Replies on web and desktop’. However, Smart Reply only works in Spanish, English, Portuguese, and French on the web version of the chat. So users may have to wait a while before being able to get this feature on smartphones.

Smart Reply is available on Google Apps it’s been a while. Messages, Gmail and Google Docs has Smart Reply on Android and web. This works the same on every app. It’s also integrated into Android notifications, providing quick and short replies based on messages received.

Meanwhile, on some apps, Smart Reply gives users some suggestions based on what they’re typing, and it’s available in different languages. To send a Smart Reply, the user must tap on the phrase.

In a separate development, Google added a bunch of videos and music with Google Photos ‘Memories. According to Google, Photos ‘will pick and cut the best excerpts from the video the user took back in the day and display them in Memories. At the same time, the image will have a subtle zoom in and out effect. Furthermore, the user will also have the instrument play in the background of the memory. If the user can’t find the same, there will be an up/down swipe gesture to move between different Memories.

Additionally, there’s a new scrapbook-inspired feature, Style comes to Memories. Users can also share their entire Memories with others. Again, Cinematic Photos have been one of the most saved visual effects in Google Photos since they were introduced. This feature is being extended to Memories, so you’ll see Cinematic Memories include a bunch of old photos with the cinematic effects and music of Google Photos.
