Samsung India sees profit drop 5% to Rs 3,844

Samsung India Electronics’ after-tax profit for FY 22 fell 4.86% to Rs 3,844.40, while operating revenue rose 8.65% to Rs 82,451.60, according to data accessed by the platform Tofler business intelligence platform.

This electronics company reported NPAT (profit after tax) of Rs 4,040.80 and its operating revenue of Rs 75,886.30 for the financial year ended 31 March 2021.

Samsung India’s EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Amortization and Depreciation) was almost flat at Rs 7,081.80 crore in the latest 22 Fiscal year from Rs 7,093.40.

Its other income rose 77.89% to Rs 2,873.20 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2022.

Samsung India’s total revenue increased 10.09% to Rs 85,324.80 in FY 22 from Rs 77,501.40 a year ago.

This is the highest level in five years, according to Tofler data.

Samsung India’s total revenue in FY18 was Rs 61,065.60 and Rs 73,085.90 in FY19. It stood at Rs 78,651.20 in FY20.

Total cost of Samsung India stands at Rs 79,758.90 for the fiscal year 2021-22, up 10.93% from Rs 71,899.
