Rishabh Pant fell asleep while driving; Fans, cricket fraternity wish you a speedy recovery
Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant was in a serious accident on his way back from Delhi to Roorkee when his car collided with the divider at Roorkee’s Narsan border near Hammadpur Jhal.
According to SK Singh, Superintendent of Police, Haridwar (Rural), the accident happened while the cricketer was on his way to Roorkee from Delhi, and his car collided with the median at Narsan’s border. Roorkee near Hammadpur Jhal.
“He was going to Roorkee to see his relatives. The accident happened because he fell asleep at the wheel a kilometer away from Narsan towards Roorkee,” SK Singh told ANI.
After incident Several cricketers from the fraternity and fans took to social media to wish him a speedy recovery.
His team IPL Delhi Capitals also gave an update Accident and said he was transferred to a hospital in Dehradun after receiving initial treatment at a hospital in Roorkee.
In a tweet, the IPL team wrote, “Rishabh Pant had an accident between Manglaur and Narsan in Haridwar district. He has now been transferred to a hospital in Dehradun after receiving initial treatment at a hospital in Roorkee. Thinking about Rishabh. Get well soon, let it go.”
SK Singh, SP Rural, Haridwar said that the accident happened because Pant fell asleep while driving.
While speaking to ANI news agency, Singh said: “He was going to Roorkee to see his relatives. The accident happened because he fell asleep while traveling 1km in front of Narsan towards Roorkee.”
Former VVS national team player Laxman wished him a speedy recovery and also shared an update on his health and said that he is out of danger.
“Praying for Rishabh Pant. Thankfully he is out of danger,” wrote on Twitter.
Former India player Virender Sehwag also wrote, “Wishing @RishabhPant17 dear super fast recovery. Bahut hi Jald swasth ho jaao.”
Cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle also expressed concern for Pant.
Anil Kumble also sent his best wishes. “Wishing you a speedy recovery @RishabhPant17 Get well soon,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, Pant was part of the test team that sealed a 2-0 win over Bangladesh this month. He is not named in India’s Twenty20 and ODI team for the games against Sri Lanka next month.
Pant has been ruled out of the upcoming white ball series against Sri Lanka starting on January 3 as he is expected to join the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru for strength training and fitness before the Border Gavaskar Trophy in February.
Pant has scored 2,271 runs in 33 Tests so far with the help of five hundred and eleven fifty. He has also represented the country in 30 ODI and 66 T20I.
