Rahul Shewale is currently the leader of Shiv Sena in Lok Sabha

Speaker Lok Sabha Om Birla on Tuesday recognized Rahul Shewale as the party’s floor leader in the lower house.

This comes after 12 of the 19 Members of Parliament (Members) Shiv Sena in Lok Sabha, including the son of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Shrikant Shinde, asked the Speaker to change.

Speaking to ANI, group leader Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) Rahul Shewale said, “Many MPs were annoyed with the work of Vinayak Raut internal group leader so we wrote to Speaker to change leadership. group leader. Speaker will take action on this. Our Chief Whip will be the same, nothing will change.”

Meanwhile, Bhavana Gawali was retained as the Roi Leader.

Vinayak Raut, delivered a letter to the Speaker, asking him not to entertain any representatives from the opposing faction.

Eknath Shinde said Shiv Sena MPs supported his stance to uphold the ideals of party founder Balasaheb Thackeray.

“Speaker Lok Sabha Om Birla has recognized Rahul Shewale as Shiv Sena leader in the House of Commons,” he said.

Twelve of Shiv Sena’s 19 MPs joined the Eknath-Shinde faction “for the benefit of the people of Maharashtra”, he added.

The MPs include- Shrikant Eknath Shinde, Rahul Shewale, Bhavana Gawali, Hemant Godse, Rajendra Gavit, Sadashiv Lokhande, Hemant Patil, Sanjay Mandlik, Dhairyasheel Mane, Shrirang Barne, Krupal Tumane and Prataprao Jadhav.

Political developments occurred shortly after the uprising of the Sena MLA majority against the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray overthrew the MVA government in Maharashtra and Eknath Shinde assumed the office of the CM.

The Shiv Sena faction led by Shinde, with help from the BJP, won the clan floor test.

Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde said on Tuesday that the government formed with the BJP is receiving full support from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Speaking at a press conference here in Delhi, Shinde said, “A few days back in Maharashtra, we formed this government with the BJP and we got the full support from the people of the state. Prime Minister. Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are supporting us Prime Minister Modi has told us that he will support all development projects in the state.”

Minister Maharashtra arrived in Delhi on Monday to hold a discussion regarding the Other Outer Class (OBC) reservations. This is Eknath Shinde’s second visit to the national capital since taking the oath of office on June 30.
