Congress leader Rahul Gandhi who leads India’s Bharat Jodo Yatra party on Sunday offered some amusing moments during the march on foot as he abruptly started sprinting alongside some schoolchildren , forcing others to run.
Unaware of his sudden gear shift, Mr. Gandhi’s security guard, Telangana Pradesh Parliament Committee Chairman, Revanth Reddy and others also started to run from their fast pace.
Joined by party leaders and cadres, Rahul Gandhi continued his march on foot from here this morning and is expected to cover a distance of 22 kilometers, congressional sources said. .
This is the fifth day of the party’s campaign in the state.
Mr. Gandhi will speak at a corner meeting at Solipur junction in Shadnagar in the evening, before pausing for the day.
The Gandhi-led Yatra completed more than 20 kilometers on Saturday, before stopping at the Jadcherla X Road Interchange for the night.
The Queen will take part in 19 constituencies and 7 constituencies in poll-limited Telangana, spanning a total of 375 kilometers in the state, before entering Maharashtra on November 7. Will take a day off on November 4th.
Congressman Wayanad will meet intellectuals, leaders of different communities, including figures from the sports, business and entertainment sectors during the party’s campaign in the southern state.
He will also visit prayer halls, mosques and temples across Telangana, Telangana PCC members said.
Bharat Jodo Yatra starts on 7th September from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu.
Rahul Gandhi completed walking marathons in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, before starting the Telangana leg of the yatra last week.
The Telangana state parliament has established 10 special committees to coordinate yatra.
