Nintendo has reported that a bug was found in Splatoon 3 and it could cause votes not to count towards this weekend’s Splatfest results.

Sharing details on Twitter, Big N says that some players have found that the conch shell they picked up before voting for their Splatfest team – be it Gear, Grub or Fun – could be gone. . If they do, this means that player votes may not be counted.

Currently, Nintendo is recommending that players vote before collecting conch shells. Here is the company’s message:

“A bug was found in #Splatoon3, where conch shells obtained prior to voting may disappear and will not be counted towards Splatfest results.

To avoid this problem, we recommend that players vote during Splatfest before collecting conch shells. We apologize for this inconvenience. This bug will be fixed in the future. “

Conch shells can be obtained during Splatfest Sneak Peek, which takes place in the days leading up to the next Splatfest. There doesn’t seem to be any problem with collecting conch shells once you’ve voted for your team, so just run to that board and pick your side!

This weekend’s splash file starts at 5:00 p.m. PT on Friday, September 23 in North America, Saturday September 24 from 2am BST in Europe, and 1am AEST on Saturday, September 24 in Australia. The second half of the event will begin 24 hours after the action begins. It’s a weekend bonanza!

We’ll let you know when Nintendo fixes the bug, but for now, ignore those conch shells until you vote!
