Pokémon Scarlet & Violet’s First Mod Removed Ed Sheeran’s Song ‘Celestial’
Honestly, we don’t mind listening to singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran from time to time, but it doesn’t seem like every Pokémon fan feels the same way.
A new mod for the latest releases Pokémon Scarlet and Violet went to the point of removing – yes, deleting – Ed’s song ‘Celestial’ in the game. To add to the insult, apparently this is the first mod uploaded on a certain website… Oh!
The mod, simply titled ‘Remove Sheeran’, seems to have been tested with Violet, but it probably works the same with Scarlet. The creator of the ‘CrescentCrossbow’ mod, goes on to explain how it swaps Ed with Kōji Wada – who is known for his work on the Digimon soundtrack.
“Remove Ed Sheeran from the game and replace him with Wada Koji (may he rest in peace).
“I can’t guarantee this works on Scarlet – it Candlestick, because why do the two versions of the game have different indexed tracks? – but I can’t be sure because I don’t have a copy of Scarlet with me.”
In a follow-up comment, the author explains the mod in a bit more detail – mentioning how Ed’s song ‘Celestial’ appears in the game’s credits and the mod swaps it out with “The timeless classic Butter-Fly“.
