PM says ‘Tiranga’ is pride of past, commitment of present and dreams of future

Prime Minister Narendra Modi while speaking to Tiranga Yatra in Surat via videoconference on Wednesday described Ensign as a reflection of India’s pride in its past, commitment to the present and dreams of the future. He said that our flag symbolizes the unity, integrity and diversity of the country.

Noting the role of the indigenous textile industry, he said that the tricolor is a symbol of khadi (a hand-woven and hand-woven fabric) and self-reliance.

Speaking about Gujarat’s contribution to India’s independence, Prime Minister Modi said that Gujarat has led India’s freedom struggle in the form of Bapu (Mahatma Gandhi), and brought to the country great personalities. such as ‘Iron Man’ Sardar Patel, who laid the foundation for ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ (One India, Great India) after Independence. Addressing Tiranga Yatra Modi evoked the eternal spirit of the Indian flag by telling of the momentum that flag gives to our freedom fighters and the sense it will convey to our future efforts.

He said, “Our fighters saw the future of the country, the dream of the country in the tricolor and never let it bow in any way. When today, after 75 years Independently, we are starting the journey of a new India, the tricolor is once again representing the unity and consciousness of India.”

The Prime Minister while talking about the diversity of people coming together at Tiranga Yatra in Surat said, “In a way, a miniature India is being seen… People from all walks of life in society. there is a garment salesman, a shopkeeper, someone a loom craftsman, someone sewing and embroidering, someone else shipping or jewelry.. The whole textile industry.. . the people of Surat made this event great.”

Promote Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, Prime Minister said from August 13 to 15, three colors will be hung in every house of India and people from all walks of life, all classes and faiths come together one naturally with only one identity. This is the identity of the conscientious citizen of India.

He added, “Many poor people, weavers and textile workers are also getting extra income due to Har Ghar Tiranga campaign… These community participatory campaigns will strengthen India’s foundation. New Degree.”
