Physical-only switch title ‘Demon Throttle’ opens second-chance pre-orders
Last summer, publisher Devolver Digital announced and then opened pre-orders on its first physics-only Switch game, Demon Throttle. It will be the next release from Gato Roboto developer Doinksoft, and it’s certainly tempting that it will actually be in physical form only, with no eShop releases coming.
As you can see in the trailer, it offers a classic look and high-paced top-down shooter gameplay, and considering the developer pedigree, we tend to be optimistic about how it will go. forming; it’s ‘coming soon’, although we don’t have a set date.
Devolver Digital and Special Reserve Games have now opened ‘monday pre-order opportunities’ for a week, which you can see here Official product page. There’s only the $29.99USD standard version, though it still has a few nice touches in the package:
- CARTRIDGE CONVERT
Packaged inside a Switch game box - GAME PACKAGE NUMBER NUMBERED NOW
- ART RECOVERY Coat
- INSTRUCTION BOOK
Inside the game packaging is wrapped - SANDAL
Meanwhile, if you head to PAX East in Boston this weekend, you can get a free gift if you show your pre-order receipt at the Devolver Digital booth.
Let us know in the comments if you’d like to order this, and be sure to share your thoughts on the idea of a ‘physical-only’ game on Switch.
