In case you lose it, Overwatch changed to a free-to-play model with the release of its second title earlier this week, and that means some new microtransactions, like premium battle cards. In other words, if you want to unlock certain cosmetics or get more out of the game, you may need to split real money.

It seems that grinding has also been pushed to the limit because of this new model. A Reddit user named ‘Chibi Tracer’ on the Overwatch subreddit did some calculations and apparently, it will take about 5 years or about 15,600 coins to unlock all the nonsense items for the new hero Kiriko. .

As explained in detail by Game Revolutionif you play Overwatch 2 completely free, it will take you about 260 weeks to earn all of Kiriko’s pointless unlocks – complete weekly challenges for a 60 coin reward.

And for real money, you can expect to pay around $150 USD or so for all of Kiriko’s pointless gear. And that’s just a hero! Sorrowful! Here is the cost of the in-game coin price in USD – 500 coins = $4.99, 1000 coins = $9.99, 2,200 coins $19.99, 5700 coins = $49.99 and 11,600 coins 99.99 dollars.

While the microtransactions and high-end battle pass might not be the best, the team-based gameplay carried over to the second game seems pretty solid. Read more in our Nintendo Life review:
