Oppo may be working on two upcoming foldable smartphones
The Oppo Find N, the company’s first foldable device, has never appeared in China, however, if rumors are to be believed, they have other plans for this fall.
According to GSM Arena, apparently, Oppo will launch not one but two foldable smartphone in the coming weeks and both will go on sale internationally, unlike the Find N.
They may be called Find N Fold and Find N Flip, as these names were recently trademarked with the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
Those monikers pretty much reveal Oppo’s game here, seemingly to ‘mimic’ Samsung as much as possible, GSM Arena reported.
What remains to be seen is whether the Find N Fold will retain the Find N’s much more compact form factor or if it will grow to match the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 in that regard. As for the Find N Flip, it will compete with the Galaxy Z Flip4.
Oppo’s devices are expected to use the exact same chipset as Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Samsung’s latest.
In China, the Find N is very competitively priced, but there’s no sign yet on whether Oppo will adopt the same strategy with upcoming models, according to GSM Arena.
