Oh darling! Overland Park couple’s newborn baby was born on the street

OVERLAND PARK, Kan – A boy in Overland Park, Kansas, didn’t wait to get to the hospital to make his world debut.

Molly Kavanagh said: “The luck of the accident. “He’s had his own path from the very beginning.”

When Molly went into labor, her husband Justin Finn planned to take the expectant mother to the hospital.

“My water broke, I said, ‘Let’s go, get in the car.’ And he sped up as fast as he could,” Kavanagh said.

Finn explained what was going on in his head at the time.

“You know your spouse’s voice when you’ve crossed the line, and so I know it,” Finn said. “[On the] next voice, she said, ‘Pull over he’s coming.’ There’s no mess. “

Molly and Justin have never been to the hospital. Their baby boy was born along Mission Road near Interstate 435. They named him Jack.

“Within 30 minutes, it basically all happened so fast and I didn’t expect it all,” Kavanagh said.

The couple said the experience of having two other children helped calm them down during the birth process earlier than expected.

However, Molly and Justin were on the lookout for possible health problems with their newborn.

Their four-year-old daughter was born with heart problems and their two-year-old daughter is in the NICU to monitor her oxygen levels.

“You look for certain things and he was good,” Finn said. “He squealed softly when he was in my arms. I put him on Molly’s chest and he started crying. It was nice to see the maternal instinct take over, because she looked at me with such confidence. maximum trust and say ‘He’s fine, he’s good.'”
