New York Attorney General Sues Trump Family for Financial Fraud

The New York Attorney General is suing former President Donald Trump, his adult children and their family real estate company, limiting a three-year investigation into what her investigators he thinks rampant business and tax fraud.

The lawsuit, revealed during a press conference with New York Representative Letitia James on Wednesday morning, seeks to bar Trump from serving as business executive and hit the Trump Organization with a whopping $250 million fine.

The office also turned over evidence to federal prosecutors in Manhattan and the Internal Revenue Service “for criminal investigation,” according to a statement.

“For too long, the rich, powerful people in this country have acted as if the rules don’t apply to them. Donald Trump stands out as one of the most egregious examples of this misconduct,” a prepared statement from James said.
