If you are choosing credit card cash back These days, the amount of cash in your wallet is likely to increase. That’s because on Thursday, American Express announced several improvements to Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express – one of us favorite cashback credit card – includes new credits and enhanced bonus categories.
Also, right now new card members can earn $200 bonus in the form of statement credit after you spend $2,000 on purchases Blue Cash every day within the first six months of account opening. And even with the newly added perks, Blue Cash Everyday has no annual fees (see rates and fees).
Let’s start with the improved bonus categories. The Blue Cash every day now matches its sister credit card – Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express – when it comes to earning 3% cashback at gas stations in the US, this is an increase from the previous 2%. (All cashbacks earned with Blue Cash Daily are received as bonus dollars that can be redeemed for statement credits.)
Plus, you’ll now earn 3% back when you shop online in the US with Blue Cash every day on purchases up to $6,000, then 1%. It’s a bonus category that didn’t previously exist on the card, and it’s one of our favorite new perks.
In addition to bonus categories, two new statement credit opportunities have been added Blue Cash every day. Both new and existing card members will now receive an annual Home Chef credit of up to $180, split in installments of up to $15 per month (registration required before using this benefit). If you’re looking for an easy way to cook at home, these credits are a great way to save money on your family dinners throughout the year.
And for those interested in saving money on a Disney Bundle subscription – which includes Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu – Blue Cash every day now up to $7 in monthly statement credits when you charge a subscription fee of $13.99 to the card per month (again, you must sign up before using this benefit, so make sure to opt-in). This equates to savings of up to $84 per year – a huge boon for families.
It’s relatively unusual to see statement credits like this on a annual free credit cardand both of these new credits are great opportunities to save money throughout the year on two popular types of purchases.
The Blue Cash every day also has a more expensive sister credit card – Priority green cash – comes with a $95 annual fee (see rates and fees). New Blue Cash Priority card members can earn $350 bonus in the form of a statement credit after you spend $3,000 on a purchase within the first six months of opening the account.
