More iPhone users switched to iOS 16 24 hours after launch than iOS 15, report claims

Apple User submitted iOS 16 easier than they did iOS 15at least 24 hours after the release of iOS 16, with the new operating system slightly ahead of its predecessor, a new report has claimed.
According to a report by Mixpanel, 24 hours after its release on September 12, iOS 16 has been downloaded by 6.71% of users to date, more than 6.48% of iOS 15 in a day. However, both operating systems are not suitable for iOS 14 although when it was accepted by users in the first 24 hours, with 9.22% of users downloading.
The rapid adoption of iOS 14 can be attributed to the appearance of widgets on the Home screen of Iphone back then, and people might have thought of having a personalized, customized look and feel for the iPhone screen, thus speeding up adoption. iOS 16 has also done a similar thing, by giving users the option to set up lock screen in a more personal way and it could have proven popular.
Apple gave some flexibility to users when it launched iOS 15. When Apple introduced iOS 15, it allowed users to continue using iOS 14 for a while. Apple is also constantly sending out security updates for iOS 14, which could really encourage users to delay switching to the new operating system. With iOS 16, it’s not that Apple started adoption immediately, but since Apple supports a wide range of iPhones and iOS 16 supports iPhone 8 and later, the new operating system is likely to take the lead.
After three days of launch, iOS 16 now has 10.45% adoption, iOS 15 has 9.68% and iOS 14, 14.68%, 9To5Mac reports.
