Mohammed Shami out of Australia T20Is due to COVID-19 | News about cricket

MUMBAI: Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has tested positive for COVID-19 and has been dropped from three international Twenty20 teams at home against Australiathe country’s cricket board (BCCI) said on Sunday.
After a three-match series, starting at Mohali on Tuesday, India will play another three games at home against South Africa as they continue to prepare for T20 World Cup in Australia starting in less than a month.

Shami who is not included in Asian Cup recent squad, last playing in the shortest format for the national team in November during their previous T20 World Cup campaign in the United Arab Emirates.
“All India High-Level Selection Committee has appointed Umesh Yadav BCCI said in a statement.
Fast bowler Yadav, 34, has participated in seven T20 internationals for India, the last of them in February 2019.
