Tom Cruise is getting ready to say goodbye to one of his most epic series of all time, Mission: Impossible. The series started in 1996 with the first Mission: Impossible movie and since then it’s gotten crazier and crazier with each installment. The series has seen Tom Cruise perform stunts such as hanging from the tallest buildings in the world, hanging himself from the side of an airplane as it took off, holding his breath underwater for a dangerously long time and perform the HALO jump (look up). Despite all the frenzy, Tom shows no signs of slowing down. However, all good things must come to an end and the Mission: Impossible series is no exception. The franchise will end what it started more than 2 decades ago and the end of the franchise will happen in 2 parts, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1 and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 2, the latter is currently being filmed. However, the filming of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 2 is actually paused at the moment and for the strangest reason. According to the latest reports, while filming in the Lake District in the UK, the cast and crew had to pause filming because a flock of sheep decided to pass by. There have been photos circulating on the internet showing Tom Cruise standing to the side as the sheep enjoy their sweet time. Hopefully the sheep won’t create enough lag to mess up the movie’s release schedule. Imagine explaining to the millions of waiting fans that the movie was delayed due to an invasion of the sheep. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1 is scheduled to hit theaters on July 14, 2023 while Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 2 will be released roughly a year later on June 28, 2024, a year marks 28 years for the Mission: Impossible franchise making it one of the longest running series of all time.
