The What Happens in Vegas actor, 44, shared details of how he changed his facial hair for his most recent Vengeance movie during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday with Special guest host David Alan Grier.

The film’s Quentin Sellers, a small-town Texas music producer, is played by Kutcher, and he has a pencil-thin mustache. Kutcher recalls thinking of “bad boys” with thin mustaches like Smokey and the Bandit and Cannonball Run when he first saw the role, saying:
