Microsoft plans to bring SwiftKey iOS keyboard back with new features

In the last month, Microsoft announced that it will stop providing the Swiftkey version for iOS. The tech giant wants to focus on the Android version of the app. Later, Microsoft removed app support and terminated it from the Apple App Store.

Now, the tech company plans to announce that it will bring keyboard shortcuts for iOS devices. The company recently told The Verge that Microsoft’s Caitlin Roulston said, “Based on customer feedback, Swiftkey iOS has been included in the Apple App Store.”

Swiftkey has returned to iOS, the app updated on August 11, 2021. Vishnu Nath, Microsoft Vice President and GM at OneNote and Office gave some hints in a tweet that Swiftkey for iOS could be. Soon to be updated with new features.

“We are ending support for Microsoft SwiftKey iOS. Thank you for being a user of our product. Please visit for details on how to manage your data. The app will be removed from the App Store on October 5, 2022,” the company said in an announcement this year.

Meanwhile, Microsoft has introduced a new meeting experience in Teams. The company introduced a ‘see sign language’ feature for Microsoft Teams to help signers – those who are deaf/hard of hearing and others who use sign language. With the new feature, signers can keep each other’s priorities on center stage, in one consistent location, throughout every meeting.

Announcing the new feature via a blog post, Microsoft said: “Today we’re excited to announce a new sign language view, new meeting experience in Microsoft Team help signers – Deaf/hard of hearing, interpreters and others who use sign language – keep each other’s priorities central, in one consistent location, throughout every meeting .”

Users will be able to prioritize up to two other participants’ videos in a Teams Meeting so they stay visible and in a consistent location throughout the meeting. Once enabled, preferred video streams will automatically appear in the right aspect ratio as well as in the highest quality available. According to Microsoft, this feature is user-specific and will not affect what others see during the meeting.
