Maharashtra: Over 40 vehicles damaged in a accident at Pune-Bengaluru highway

On Sunday evening, on the Mumbai-Bengaluru highway, a lorry crashed into at least 40 vehicles, causing damage and several injuries, a police official said. According to him, it is possible that the truck’s brakes failed or the driver lost control leading to the accident on the Navale bridge.

Six people were injured in the incident, according to information received so far, and they are receiving medical care at two hospitals, the official said.

“A serious road accident occurred at Navale Bridge on Pune-Bengaluru Expressway in Pune, in which about 48 vehicles were damaged. Rescue teams from Pune Fire Brigade and Development Authority The Pune Metropolitan Area (PMRDA) arrived on the scene,” said Pune Fire. brigade officer.

According to eyewitnesses, there are lots of damaged vehicles at the scene where members of the fire brigade, police and bystanders were conducting rescue efforts.
