Maharashtra announces 3% DA hike govt employees

According to a statement from the Office of the Minister on August 16. The level of loyalty allowance (DA) for government employees in Maharashtra has increased by 3%. It states that the new DA will come into effect in August itself. According to the CMO’s statement, the loyalty allowance has been increased to 34% of the base salary.

Bhupendra Patel, chief minister of Gujarat, on Monday announced that DA for public employees will increase by 3% and the National Food Security Act (NFSA) welfare schemes will be expanded. Speaking after raising the national flag at Modasa in Aravalli district during a state event to mark the 76th anniversary of the nation’s Independence Day, Patel urged people to prioritize a sense of patriotism above all else.

He announced January 1, 2022 to come into effect again, a three percent increase in DA for Gujarat government employees according to the 7th Pay Commission. He said the benefit will be awarded to almost 9, 380,000 state government employees, panchayat employees and pensioners. According to him, this will lead to an increase in the annual financial burden on the state government by about 1,400 crore.

On August 3, a proposal to increase the DA by 5% for state government employees and retirees effective from 1 July was approved by the cabinet of Premier Tripura Manik Saha. The choice comes ahead of the northeastern state’s upcoming congressional elections next March.

On August 1, the Madhya Pradesh government announced an increase in the Loyalty Allowance (DA) for more than 7,50,000 state employees, bringing this figure to 34%. According to a statement from the Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the increase will cause costs to pass once again. 625 crore.
