The 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar is one of the most exciting seasons of world football. Lionel Messi will be considered one of the football legends for decades now. The hotel room that Messi stayed in during the World Cup will be turned into a museum, a source from Qatar has confirmed.
Hitmi al Hitmi, director of communications and public relations at: “The room of Argentina national team player Lionel Messi will remain unchanged and will be only for visitors, not residents.” Cata University, told Qatar’s Al Sharq newspaper.
“Messi’s belongings will be a legacy for students and Future generations and is a witness to the great achievements that Messi has achieved at the World Cup,” the director added.
For most of the time in Qatar, the Argentina team stayed in the Qatar University room and Qatari news agencies confirmed that the B201 room where Messi was staying would be turned into a museum.
At the end of the 2022 World Cup campaign, Messi shared a room with his longtime friend Sergio Aguero.
As reported by Statista, Messi has also set a new record at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, for the most appearances at the FIFA World Cup. Messi has appeared in 26 matches in all FIFA Men’s World Cups since 1930.
