Sen and Srikkanth, the world’s top two Indians at eighth and 11th respectively, will fight for the second time in their careers.
Sen was the best Indian on the show at the recent closing ceremony Danish Open but he lost to the low ranker of Japan Kodai Naraoka into the quarterfinals.
In their previous match, Srikkanth defeated Sen in a tight competition en route to a historic silver medal at the 2021 World Championships.
The winner between the two Indians is likely to face world number two Danish Anders Antonsen in the next round of the World Tour 750 event.
HS Prannoy, the most consistent player in the past, had an easy first game against Malaysia’s Daren Liew, the Indian with a 7-4 head-to-head record.
