Planning to travel to Ladakh? Think again, as coronavirus cases are increasing in union territory. On Thursday, Ladakh recorded seven new cases, the highest in a single day in more than a month.
According to the health bulletin, the total number of cases has been reached at 28,303 now. The number of active cases is 28 cases, of which 26 are from Leh and two are from Kargil.
All new cases were reported from Leh on Thursday. The overall recovery stands at 28,047.
In the last week, 22 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in Ladakh. So far, 228 coronavirus deaths have been recorded in Ladakh since the outbreak.
While the death toll in Leh is 168, 60 deaths from Covid-19 have been recorded in Kargil. According to reports, one patient was also discharged from the hospital after successfully treating the infection.
