Kourtney Kardashian & UK’s Boohoo partner on sustainable fashion



British online retailer Boohoo and Kourtney Kardashian Barker, entertainer, Poosh CEO and founder, and Boohoo’s newest brand ambassador, have teamed up to launch two collections capsule explores the future of sustainable style. The debut FW22 collection was introduced during the runway show at New York Fashion Week (NYFW).

The collection on display at the event included 45 pieces, according to a Boohoo press release. They include two classic pieces; 12 UK-made models including Boohoo’s UK factory; and five styles that can be worn in many ways. Furthermore, 41 of these 45 pieces contain recycled fibers such as recycled cotton. Two of these products are made by London-based CottonConnect, which has helped train 2,500 farmers on sustainable cotton production and good business practices.

Kardashian Barker also attended a swap event at New York Fashion Week FW22 to learn more about sustainable style. The event aims to educate consumers on how to prolong the life of their clothes and is organized by Global Fashion Exchange (GFX), Boohoo, Fashion Revolution, Peace Boat US, IRK Magazine, Wearable Collections and BK Style Foundation.

Boohoo sought to work with GFX CEO Patrick Duffy to learn from his extensive knowledge of the field with the aim of realizing the brand’s educational, informed and transformative ambitions. . Duffy became a key consultant for the brand, helping guide the development of the first series of educational social programs aimed at raising awareness of the fashion industry’s environmental impact and showing what What businesses and individuals can do to create positive, liberating change.

Boohoo has launched its sustainability strategy ahead of 2021 and is focusing its efforts on areas such as materials, design, waste, packaging, and finding ways to keep clothing usable for longer.
