Knott’s Berry Farm Closes Early Due to “Unruly Behavior” – The Hollywood Reporter

Knott’s Berry Farm amusement park in Southern California closed early on Saturday night, with the company alleging the closure was due to “unruly behavior” and alternating between underage guests.

The park, located in Buena Park, California, a city in Orange County, was trending on social media Saturday amid reports of closures. Knott’s official Twitter account later posted a message problem solving.

“The safety of Knott’s Berry Farm guests and associates is always our top priority,” the statement read. “On Saturday night, it was decided to close the park 3 o’clock early due to unruly behavior and fights involving several teenagers. This behavior is inconsistent with our park’s values ​​and is not the experience we want any guest to have while visiting Knott’s Berry Farm.”

In a statement shared to social media, the Buena Park Police Department said that “multiple fights in the park” were the cause for the closure. According to the text, several 911 callers said they heard gunshots, but officers determined that no shooting occurred. However, police advise to stay away from the area for the time being.

Knott’s Berry Farm planned to reopen as scheduled on Sunday, according to its social media message.
